200-WORD RATIONALE
In the final work, I tried to change the original theme of the picture to oppose keyboard warriors according to Mr. Fauzi. I added many elements about the Internet, added malicious comments behind the keyboard warrior in the dark, added some broken keyboards beside the victim, and the keyboard and mouse on the ground symbolize the connection between the online world and the real world, suggesting that the victim may collapse due to online violence and even lose control of reality. For the protesters in the lower left corner, I chose the symbol of the Internet to express people's resistance to keyboard warriors and their pursuit of freedom of speech.
For the title of the poster, I chose "VIRTUAL WORDS REAL SCARS" as the title of the poster, conveying that malicious comments on the Internet will affect others and even cause harm, so we need to think twice before speaking. In terms of typesetting, I bolded the title to highlight the key points and strengthen the impact.
In terms of color, I hope to enhance the visual impact of the entire picture. I increased the irradiation area of the light beam and adjusted the contrast to make it more contrasty with the background.
REFLECTION
What have I learnt in this module?
In this module, I learned about the principles of design and systematically studied them, and I knew how to analyze the design principles used in works of art. Learning the design principles allowed me to better apply them to design, helping me design more beautiful and coordinated works.
What did I enjoy the most? What did I not enjoy the most?
In the study of this module, I like to analyze works of art and analyze which design principles are used in the works. It allows me to better master and apply design principles, and learn how excellent works use these design principles in design works, which helps me understand better. And I applied this knowledge in the final works of the module, which made me gain a lot.
In contrast, what I don't like is to modify the original works of art to make them better, because this part is very challenging for me, because at the beginning I had no idea how to make it better, but under the guidance of Mr. Fauzi, I had an idea.
What have I learnt about myself through this module?
I learned that I was slowly mastering the principles of design. In the process of completing the final product, I found that I could explore and use Photoshop and Illustrator skillfully, and unlocked some new skills in the process.
What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?
The change is that as I learn the design principles through this template, I gradually have a better understanding and feeling of design, a more comprehensive and systematic understanding of design, and know how to operate in the process of completing the task.
What has not changed is that I still lack a lot of knowledge about design, and I still need to further learn and apply knowledge so that I can better master and use this knowledge.
What are my aspirations?
I hope to learn more about the theoretical knowledge of design in the future and be able to use the theoretical knowledge well. I also hope to be exposed to design tasks with different themes, so that I can try to design design works with different themes and design works of my own style.
