Digital Photography and Imaging-WEEK 3
07.10.2024
The Lasso tool is ideal for use with the Graphics Input Board because it is
similar to a pencil.
Next, we were shown how to use the Pen tool, which is most often chosen when
creating paths. It's worth remembering that the fewer points there are, the
smoother the path will be.

LECTURE
The lecture explains how to use the lasso tool, pen tool, and layering in
Photoshop. Toolbox. Photoshop provides several tool sets in the Toolbox,
which you can expand to display additional tools.
Fig.1.1
The first tool explained is the Lasso tool, which allows you to draw and
pinpoint specific areas of your document. When you click the Lasso tool from
the toolbar, you will see three different tool options:
Lasso, Polygonal Lasso, Magnetic Lasso.

Finally, we were introduced to layers, which are different images stacked
together. We can select each layer to work on without affecting the others.
The advantage of using layers is that you can save a Photoshop file that
contains all the layers. This means you can use layers for non-destructive
editing. Layers contain all the extra information or images you want to add
to the original file.

WEEK 3: PRACTICAL
This week Mr. Fauzi showed us how to use Photoshop to create an electronic
collage. In the lesson, Mr. Fauzi showed us how to use the pen tool to key
in to complete the electronic collage. Mr. Fauzi provided us with some
footage to use for the electronic collage. I used the golden section
composition when designing the collage and these are the three electronic
collages I made.

WEEK 3 - PEN TOOL EXERCISE (BEST COMPOSITION):
FEEDBACK
In the third week, the professor helped us choose the best one from three
3D collages and asked us to paste it on. The professor also taught us how
to arrange the collage and demonstrated it. Then he showed us how to make
an electronic collage and how to use the pen tool to cut out the image.
