FEEDBACK
REFLECTION
Experience:
In this module, I completed the entire design research dissertation. While
completing the research dissertation, I learned about the structure of a
research dissertation, especially in the literature review, which I revised
multiple times. We not only completed the research dissertation, but also
designed a visual design publication, a process I found very interesting, as
it was my first time designing a book. When I completed this module's task,
I considered reducing AI rates a huge challenge, and I spent a considerable
amount of time revising it.
Observation:
During the research process, I understood the importance of logical
structure in theoretical writing. Initially, I thought that simply listing
references and viewpoints would weaken the overall coherence and
persuasiveness of the article, but as the writing progressed, I realized
that this approach weakened the overall coherence and persuasiveness of the
article. Through continuous revision and organization, I began to learn how
to organize paragraphs around the core research theme, ensuring that each
part serves a clear research objective. At the same time, I also noticed the
need for a clear logical relationship between arguments, literature
citations, and analysis, rather than them existing independently.
Findings:
Through this module, I gained a deeper understanding of academic writing,
especially in areas such as literature retrieval and citation. This improved
ability has enabled me to write more structurally complete and clearly
argued research dissertation, laying a solid foundation for my future
academic research or related professional writing.
