 PROJECT 1

INSTRUCTIONS

LECTURE
We learned about the five main stages of film production: development pre-production production post-production distribution.
Development stage: determine the outline of the script, form a core creative team, and then raise funds.
Pre-production: the project enters the actual preparation stage, completes the script breakdown, determines the shooting date and time, and prepares the shooting supplies.
Production stage: this is the actual shooting stage, and the crew shoots according to the plan.
Post-production: process and improve the material, edit the film, adjust the rhythm and structure, add sound effects and soundtracks, process images,
Distribution stage: formulate a marketing strategy and promote the film.

TASK 1: Audio - Sound for Visual (dubbing)

We were based on a 36-second clip (silent) from a scene in the movie Everything, Everywhere All at Once. Mr. Martin had us first create a spreadsheet to plan the types of sounds, sound effects/atmosphere, and dialogue we would want in the video. After that, we needed to look up sound effects online and paste the links so that we could import all the audio files into Adobe Premiere Pro.

Audio Breakdown
We worked in groups to complete the table and add links to the sound effects and ambient sounds according to their descriptions.

Here is the complete audio breakdown table:

Production process:

I used a tone editor to process the characters' voices and also adjusted the audio of each character's dialogue to between -6 and -12 dB.

REFLECTIONS:
When I finished project one, I learned how to add sound effects to videos. This was fun and my first time trying to add sound effects to videos. It allowed me to learn more about how to use Adobe Premiere Pro. When I finished the dubbing task, I learned about many different sound effects.

When I finished the sound shaping exercise, I learned the new software Adobe Audition and learned how to make audio have different sound effects.
