REFLECTION
Experience: In this semester, I learned a lot of new knowledge, such
as typesetting system, font design, logo design, etc. When trying each task,
I would experience a time when I didn't know how to complete it, but under
the guidance of Mr. Vinod, I completed the modification and completion of
each task. For me, font design is a long job, but in the process of
completing the design, I experienced many attempts, such as for font
demonstration and font application, I boldly tried the color matching, which
I think is very interesting. In general, I learned a lot of typesetting
knowledge and design software in this module, and I hope I can further and
better apply the knowledge I have learned.
Observation: When completing different tasks, I observed that the
proportion of fonts needs to be paid attention to. For example, in the
process of completing tasks 1B, 2 and 3, I paid attention to and modified
the font proportion. In the process of completing different tasks, I
gradually realized that the font proportion plays a vital role in the
overall visual design. For example, in the typesetting design of task 1B, at
first I did not pay attention to the proportion between the 5 letters. After
receiving feedback from Mr. Vinod, I made more detailed adjustments to the
font proportion. Entering the design stage of Task 2 and Task 3, I paid more
attention to the contrast between font sizes. In this process, I gained a
deeper understanding of the role of fonts in conveying information.
Discovery: When applying my work to specific accessories, it is a
particularly interesting attempt. I can intuitively see the presentation
effect of the work in the real scene. This process made me realize that
design is not just visually "good-looking", but more importantly, the
balance between its feasibility and beauty in actual use.
